I got my first dog in 1989, a big ole' Sheltie named Kia.  She was going to be my companion, someone to keep me company after my parents and siblings moved to Tucson, Arizona.  Instead, Kia opened up a whole new world to me, and more than 20 years later I've trained, competed in and enjoyed doing a varitey of things with the 8 dogs who have graced my life.

My first 5 dogs are shown in the photo above, taken around 2003,  First dog Kia (U-CD Segram's Copper Lady Kiana CDX NA FDCH Can CD) is the big Sheltie in front.  She lived to be 17 1/2, brightening my days for more than 16 of those years (I got her when she was 9 months old).  Not long after, Sheltie Mandy joined us (U-CD Shandon Bell Sunrise O'Bevans CDX FDCH).  Although I enjoyed the Shelties imensely (and I will have at least one again someday), in 1992 I got my first Belgian Sheepdog (aka Belgian Shepherd, Groenendael variety), and I haven't looked back since.  The black dogs in the photo above are Walker (lying down...and the only boy at the time), aka Ch. High-Mount's Grand Finale RN HCT HIC TT, Cassie behind him (my first Belgian - Ch. Liket's Ebony Mystique CD NA NAJ RE FDCH FMD) and the "baby" at the time, Images High Society at Ebonaire RE PT JHD FMD (Gracie).

I'm just in the process of putting together my website, so there are still a lot blanks.  But check back now and then to see if there's anything new!
